As a Technical Writer, you will create and maintain clear, structured documentation for software releases, internal teams, and client-facing resources. You’ll translate complex requirements into accessible content, support cross-functional alignment, and ensure documentation stays accurate, consistent, and ready for scale.

The Qualifications We Seek

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Experience
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience
- 1–3 years in technical writing, product documentation, or software documentation
- Experience documenting software features, workflows, and system functionality
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies
- Experience creating SOPs, process maps, or knowledgebase content
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
- Proven collaboration with Product Managers, Developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams
- HRIS, payroll, or PEO experience preferred but not required
- Experience with CMS or documentation platforms preferred
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience with Confluence, SharePoint, or similar documentation tools
- Working knowledge of Agile development environments
Certifications
- Technical Writing certification preferred but not required
Your Daily Tasks
Essential Functions
- Create and maintain documentation for software releases, including new features, enhancements, and defect fixes
- Develop and organize sprint summaries, release notes, and post-release updates
- Write and maintain internal knowledgebase articles for Product, Development, QA, Operations, and Client Services
- Translate functional specifications and user stories into clear documentation
- Collaborate with Development and QA to ensure technical accuracy
- Document processes, workflows, and SOPs to support alignment and onboarding
- Maintain consistent documentation structure, versioning, and taxonomy
- Assist in preparing client-facing training materials, product guides, and help content
- Support User Acceptance Testing and beta documentation
- Work with cross-functional teams to clarify functionality and document intended system behavior
- Ensure documentation aligns with corporate mission, goals, and branding
- Identify and report documentation gaps, risks, or required updates
- Support post-implementation documentation and ongoing updates
- Assist migration and rollout efforts through guides and communication materials
